Since opening in the vibrant heart of Amsterdam’s red light district in June 1997 The GHE Bar has established itself as the city’s premier venue for the best in modern Drum and Bass, reggae, dance, funk and rare grooves with electronic music. Nightly DJs, both established and up and coming, have secured us an enviable reputation in Amsterdam’s hedonistic nightlife. Major artists from such diverse backgrounds as Universal Egg (ZION TRAIN, ISM, JAH FREE), Ninja Tune (DK&DOM) and Amsterdam’s own Input Records (DARREN CROWLEY) have played here and we are proud to showcase our own ´homegrown´ talents such as DJs Kreed, Sinista (Jungle Terror), Kulu, Hendrix, Koldun (Lionstyle). We aim to provide the best and most diverse DJing talent under one roof in Amsterdam and all for free and in the best atmosphere possible.
Every Sunday we have a chill out zone with the best in soul and funk played by the Selectiv-Soul-Collectiv.
